OUR MINISTRY TEAM
We like to think of the whole church as a ministry team. We take the New
Testament image of the church as “the Body of Christ” to mean that every member
has an equally important role to play in the ministry of the church. We do
however appoint appropriately gifted people to certain positions to help the
body function at its best.

MINISTER Steve Blacket Steve was appointed as the minister of the Magill Church of Christ in February 2003. Previously he had spent twelve years in Victoria which included four years of theological study at the Churches of Christ Theological College and various ministry positions in the Melbourne suburbs and western Victoria. In a former life Steve was a farmer in South Australia’s lower north. He has two teenage children and takes particular delight in watching Port Power demoralise Adelaide Crows fans. Steve’s vision is to see the church as a community where all are welcomed on equal ground, where God is worshipped with reverence and exuberance, where life is celebrated and where people are healed and in return become agents of healing. |

YOUTH PASTOR Tanya Nokes Tanya Nokes has been a part of Magill Church of Christ since childhood. She has been involved in children and youth ministry, singing with the New Connexions and Steppin' Out, worship leading and preaching, as well as providing leadership at numerous state youth camps and Youth Spec rallies. Tany was appointed as Youth Pastor in 2003 and oversees the church's vibrant youth ministry. Tanya is married with three young children. |

CAFE CHURCH COORDINATORGreg Lawrie After spending a number of years in youth ministry, Greg has returned to Magill to oversee the development of our new Cafe Service. Greg is enjoying the freedom of designing church to help younger adults discover a meaningful spirituality. |

PLAYGROUP COORDINATORNatalie Bennett Natalie is a Qualified Child Care Worker with 15 years of experience. She joined the Corner Playgroup eight years ago as a new mum and became Assistant Coordinator in 2002. This year Natalie was appointed Coordinator of our playgroups and under her leadership the groups are as successful and popular as ever. Natalie is married to Anthony and they have two school age children. |
