We like to think of the whole church as a ministry team. We take the New Testament image of the church as “the Body of Christ” to mean that every member has an equally important role to play in the ministry of the church. We do however appoint appropriately gifted people to certain positions to help the body function at its best.

MINISTER

Steve Blacket

Steve was appointed as the minister of the Magill Church of Christ in February 2003 and recently completed his ministry with us in order to spend time in South Sudan coordinating and expanding the work commenced during his time at Magill.

ASSOCIATE MINISTER

Tanya Nokes

Tanya Nokes has been a part of Magill Church of Christ since childhood. She has been involved in children and youth ministry, singing with the New Connexions and Steppin' Out, worship leading and preaching, as well as providing leadership at numerous state youth camps and Youth Spec rallies. Tanya was appointed to the Ministry Team in 2003 on a part time basis and has had responsibility for developing Kids’ Church, Youth Group, and sharing leadership of Café church. Tanya has recently increased her time as Associate Minister and  now also provides a broader ministry following Steve's move to South Sudan.

Tanya is married with three young children.

PLAYGROUP COORDINATOR

Natalie Bennett

Natalie is a Qualified Child Care Worker with 15 years experience. She joined the Corner Playgroup eight years ago as a new mum and became Assistant Coordinator in 2002. In 2005 Natalie was appointed Coordinator of our playgroups and under her leadership the groups are as successful and popular as ever. Natalie is married and has two school age children.
