Maranatha Health
|

Maranatha Health began in the dreams of a young group of South Australians including Kim and Michael Findlay who are members of the Magill Church of Christ. This young group witnessed the injustices in the beautiful country of Uganda and deep in the villages of eastern Africa, warmed to the resourceful, vibrant community of Kamwenge. This is a place where 1 in 4 children die before they reach the age of 5. Statistics like this demand a response. A team of volunteers with expertise in medicine, community development, finance and management has gathered and continues to grow - to help make this dream a reality.
Maranatha Health is an Australian not-for-profit organization that is committed to raising health outcomes, empowering the poor, and making positive, lasting change in Uganda, Africa. Funds raised in Australia are transferred to our Ugandan partner organization to help resource the project together with local income. Both the Australian and Ugandan organizations are governed by a board of management.
We would encourage you to explore Maranatha Health's website and Face Book site and consider how you might support Kim and Michael who are currently working in Uganda and who, together with this young group of volunteers are making a real difference to the lives of those, who until now, have been trapped by the injustices of our world. You can also follow Kim's experiences through her blog at Buzima, Life in Kamwenge |
